The AddFilter method specifies a DirectShow filter that is added to the graph when this segment is built.

Syntax

HRESULT AddFilter(
  BSTR bstrName
);

Parameters

bstrName

BSTR that contains the CLSID of the filter. The BSTR must use the following format: {XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}

Return value

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code	Description
S_OK	The method succeeded.

Remarks

Use this method to insert additional filters to the graph other than the sink filter. To specify the sink filter, call IMSVidGenericSink::SetSinkFilter.
