System.Gadget.version property

[The Windows Gadget Platform/Sidebar is available for use in the operating systems specified in the Requirements section. It may be altered or unavailable in subsequent versions. ]

Gets the gadget version as specified in the gadget manifest file.

This property is read-only.

Syntax

strversion = System.Gadget.version

Property value

A String that receives the version of the gadget.

Remarks

A gadget must have a version specified in the gadget manifest file in order to be displayed in the Gadget Picker.

Possible uses include checking if a newer version of a gadget is available or displaying warnings of possible conflicts with other versions of the same gadget.

The following example demonstrates how to get the version of a gadget from the gadget manifest.
