in bing editor i get location target invalid

But we are here to help! In order for us to fix said error we will need to confirm the implementation of the desired locations is done using the following steps. If the error occurs after said steps are taken, or if they do not prove to be effective, our Support Team can assist you further. For now, let's try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue further. 

If you are using the most recent version of Bing Ads Editor, I believe the following will be the step by step process of implementing the United States and Canada as a desired target:

1. Once you have your account open in Bing Ads Editor click on "Keywords and Targeting" button found below:

2. Upon selecting, you will see the options expand. Select the "Locations" option.

3. Selecting this will open the page in Bin Ads Editor that allows you to adjust your location targeting accordingly. If you do not already have the United States and Canada as an option, you will want to click the "Add location Target" button found at the top of the screen, then select what level you would like the location targeting to be applied to (campaign or ad group) and select the campaign or ad group you would like the settings to be applied to.

4. After selecting the level desired for the location targeting, you will see a new location appear in the list (a green plus sign will appear next to it) Find the "Edit/find location link found at the bottom of your screen to add a value. A window will appear allowing you to search and select from the list that will display. Once the desired location is selected, you can click "OK" in the bottom right of the window for the settings to apply.
