Hello CraftyMick,
Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Community Forum!
I can see from your message that you are running into an error message when attempting to update your feed file.
Feed files contain all your product information, so it is important to keep them updated with all the most up-to-date information. As the feed file expires after 30 days, which causes the products to stop publishing, it is important to keep them updated just like you are attempting to do now. To keep your product information fresh, it is good practice to upload your feed daily.
With Microsoft Merchant Center, you can create a feed that includes images and other information about your products so that your products can display on Bing. You can learn more about how to create a Microsoft Merchant Center store and what a Microsoft Merchant Center feed is via following those links.
To update your feed file you can follow the below steps:
- From the top menu, select Tools > Merchant center > Feeds.
- Choose the store you want to update.
- Select the Feeds tab.
- Choose and select the feed you want to update.
- Select Update feed.
- Use one of the submission methods detailed above. Note that at this stage, you may change your submission type.
- Select Update feed.
One common error message that is encountered after attempting to upload a feed file from Google is that the feed file you are trying to upload isn’t working. For this, you would need to make sure the file you’re trying to upload is either a .csv or .tsv file. Here's how to generate a downloadable link in Google Docs:
- Open your feed file in Google Docs.
- Click File and select Publish to the web.
- Click on Web page and select either Comma-separated values (.csv) or Tab-separated values (.tsv).
- Click Publish.
- Copy the generated link and use the link as your automatic download URL in your Microsoft Merchant Center feed.
Another common error message is that we were unable to map your file to one of the feeds in the store. This means we couldn’t match the feed file name with the file name that is registered with us. If this is the case please make sure the name of the feed file exactly matches the file name registered with the feed. If you are submitting a compressed file, make sure the uncompressed feed file name matches the file name registered with the feed.
If you are still being shown the error message after completing the above steps to update your feed file, then I will need to investigate this further for you.
I will send you a private message to continue assisting you with this matter.
Sincerely,
