How do I setup 2 external monitors with Surface book 3 and Surface dock 4 thunderbolt?

I have a Surface Book 3 running Windows 10. All Windows and graphics card drivers are up-to-date. I tried connecting two external monitors (Dell - S3222DGM 32" LED Curved QHD FreeSync Gaming Monitor) via USB-C to DisplayPort cables using the Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock. Only one monitor is detected at a time ---- if I plug one in, the other doesn't appear. If I unplug the first and plug in the second, the second is detected, but the first isn't when I plug it back in.

Are there any other solutions? Or is this a limitation for this dock? And if so, does the surface dock 2 support multiple external monitors using a Surface Book 3?

Thank you!

    Hi Christopher!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

With your query, Surface Book 3 using Surface dock 4 thunderbolt would only be able to support 1 external monitor using USB-C cable. Surface Dock 2 would be your best compatible Surface Dock for your Surface Book 3. See through this link Buy Microsoft Surface Dock 2 – Microsoft Surface for more details and tech specs for Surface Dock 2.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,
