- Is this the first time you have set-up?
- Have you tried connecting the switch directly from the Surface Book 2?

Hello,
I'm having issues with my Surface Book 2 connecting it to a KVM switch.
KVM: https://www.delock.com/produkte/G\_11467/merkmale.html
Desktop PC: DP to DP to the switch
Surface Book 2: Surface dock, and then mini DP to DP to the switch
Issue is that the KVM won't switch as it doesn't seem to get a DP signal ? The display on my surface also stays on (normally it goes blank and only the monitor displays the desktop when connecting it directly to the DP port of the monitor)
I'm suspecting the surface dock doesn't pass the DP signal when connected to the KVM ?
How can I force this ... the KVM is useless otherwise

Hi Spacekiek,
We suggest you try to run Microsoft Surface Dock Updater allows you to check the firmware status of a Surface Dock and to manually update the firmware of Surface Dock devices.

Hi,
Yes, I just bought the KVM switch, so this is my new set-up.
I can't connect the switch directly to the SB2, as the KVM needs DP. I'm using the surface dock instead, and then a mini DP to DP cable.
My desktop PC works fine, but the surface dock isn't giving a DP signal to the KVM switch... so I can't switch between PC's.

Hello
Yes, I've tried the update and it's already the latest firmware.
