Surface Duo - Files

I expected to be able to view files on the Duo just like any other Android phone on a PC.   The folder for the phone appearing on the PC is empty and doesn't allow new folders to be added.  The issue relates to music.   I want to upload albums to the phone.   If I can't see the file system how do I accomplish this task?   Is there a way to see the folders on a PC?  How do I upload music?

FYI - I am looking at the folder that appears when attaching the Duo to a USB port.   I did also check the phone with the 'Your Phone' app.

Thank you

Hi, I had the same issue and I was able to resolve this by going into the System --> Developer Options --> Default USB Configuration --> click "File Transfer"

In my other Android phone, when I plug in the USB cable this USB configuration screen usually pops up automatically, but in my Duo it didn't pop up so I had to manually change it.  Hope this helps.

Awesome, thank you very much.   That solved the issue.  I can now see the folders.  For others reading this thread you have to goto About and click the Build Number seven times.   Then goto the System screen to view Developer options.  Clicking the Build number it will count and then display you are a Developer or something to that affect.

Same question but I do not have the "developer" option to choose.  Even did a search in the Settings, no developer option was found.

I gave the answer to your question above.

In settings goto 'About' and click the Build Number seven times.   Then goto the System screen to view Developer options.

When clicking the Build number it will count and then display, you are a Developer or something to that affect.
