Purchsed in good faith 7th edition Surface pro hat cannot print onmy Canon printer (IP 8750). In contact with 'support' no positive answer is this really fair on the consumer that a known problem has not/cannot be resolved? A loyal customer.

Thanks for the additional info. You have a Surface Laptop 7 which is not part of the "Pro" line. The Pro line is a tablet with a detachable keyboard.

Yes, I see on the Canon site that there is no ARM processor driver listed for your printer. And it appears the generic printer driver provided by Microsoft did not work for you when you attempted to install it, instructions as per https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/FAQ100604 which I mentioned above.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything else I can do to get this working for you. I suggest that you file a problem report in feedback https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332 and explain that Canon does not have an ARM driver for the Pixma 8750 and the generic driver does not work.

Note that I'm an unpaid volunteer and not in any way connected to official Microsoft Support. I'm sorry that I was not able to assist further.

Hi, sorry about the delay in responding.

My computer is a Surface Pro Laptop 7th edition with co-pilot.

I was in contact with your colleague from your 'support' section some months ago who suggested I contact Canon support. Which I did. I was informed that they were unable to assist as the issue was for the processor and Microsoft. I am not a excellent computer '' person so I decided to leave it at that! Hence my referral to yourself. I have managed using my old previous Surface computer by using a USB flash drive to print (copy to USB drive load on old computer and print).............but that computer has now been sold, so I cannot produce my A3 photographs.

N.b ...I have been on the Canon site has suggested and the Canon Pixma 8750 is not referred to!

That was a really speedy response for which I thank you. I shall take your advice and pursue further , I hope you understand that I am not overjoyed with an expensive Laptop which cannot do the basics (I should have been informed of this before purchase).
