I keep hearing that this is a known issue. Is Microsoft going to do anything about it? This thing was too expensive to have a constant issue. I want a permanent fix or a recall.

Is there a fix that actually works?

According to my attempt to update, my device is up to date.

The problem in the link does not match mine. It's not that the surface book won't turn on.

Basically, what happens is I am browsing around on the web using any browser at all: chrome, opera, vivaldi....

What used to happen is that the screen would flicker black and then go back to normal. It was annoying, but not the end of the world... though it's not a good situation at all.

However, now what happens is that it flickers and turns black and doesn't come back. I have to press the power button to put it to sleep and then press it again to wake it up.... then swipe up to clear away the lock screen.

This is substantially worse. I did most of the things in the link provided already.

I am not sure what to do next.

In this case, we suggest that you visit our nearest Microsoft Store in your area to have them check your device. If you are outside US, you may contact our Global Customer Support for recommendations.

    Thank you.
