When I am in handwriting mode while using as a tablet I have the option to toggle to use the number portion of the touch keyboard but the eng button that I assume would pull up words and a greyed out. I would like to be able to toggle to the touch keyboard from handwriting with out using the settings button.

    Hi Lucas Love1,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us. I will be asking few questions on this.

Can you send us a picture of what "eng" button you're referring to?

Can you see the handwriting keyboard icon when you tap the keyboard button at the bottom right corner of the touch keyboard?

In order to use the handwriting keyboard, you need to change it in keyboard settings and tap the handwriting keyboard icon.

Same as if you want to switch from handwriting to typing mode. Once you switch to the handwriting input panel, it will automatically appear whenever you tap or click the keyboard icon on your taskbar.

See Get to know the touch keyboard - Microsoft Support to check touch keyboard layouts.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
