Printing from EDGE on OSX is extremely slow to show print dialogue box

Hey community.

I'm trying to use Microsoft Edge browser on OSX and I'm experiencing a significant delay from he time I hit print to the time the print dialogue box (10 to 15 seconds). Normally this isn't too big a deal because you don't often print from the web-browser.... UNLESS your using an app like Microsoft Business Central... and your printing out orders, invoices etc..

Tried to find a way to contact support about this... but there doesn't appear to be a dedicated support team for Edge.

Anybody else on OSX experiencing this issue?

Google Chrome has the ability to change preferences and use the system dialogue box for printing. Does anybody know if this exists in Edge (I haven't been able to locate it). I find the print function in Chrome is almost immediate - but I've defaulted to using OSX's system dialogue rather than Googles one, which I think Edge uses (it looks totally different).

Any ideas?

    Hello Customer,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, we understand that you printing from EDGE on OSX is extremely slow to show print dialogue box.

We tested this issue by following your steps and it did not reproduce.

So, I need to confirm with you is it that all screens are slow to display the print dialog? If so, we recommend you to reset the Edge browser cache and cookies.

    Delete all cookies

    1. In Edge, select Settings and more in the upper right corner of your browser window.
    2. Select SettingsPrivacy, search, and services.
    3. Select Choose what to clearunder Clear browsing data > Clear browsing data now.
    4. Under Time range, choose a time range from the list.
    5. Select Cookies and other site data, and then select Clear now.

All your cookies and other site data will now be deleted for the time range you selected. This signs you out of most sites.

Click Delete cookies in Microsoft Edge for more detailed instructions.

Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix page display problems. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

After the above operation is completed, observe whether the problem has been solved or not, if it still does not work, we can only suggest you to reinstall Edge.

I hope the above information can help you.

    Best Regards,
