How to hide the "https://www." part of a website's URL in the address bar?

I recently switched from Chrome and I'm really loving the responsiveness along with the neat and clean UI on the new Edge. However, I wish to not have the mentioned elements in the address bar constantly as it really doesn't serve any purpose for me whereas keeping them hidden would make it look cleaner. I have no problems in double clicking on it just to see the complete address.

    Hi,

On the contrary, Chrome users say it is annoying :)

As of now, there is no way to hide protocols in MS Edge. You may leave feedback by pressing Alt+Shift+I.

The Flag Sherwin mentioned isn't present on Chromium Edge - his/her solution is nearly useless.

    HI Sumit,

Yes right, my bad I misunderstood the question. I already inform to disregard the steps I shared and to follow the steps you have mentioned on this thread, since this is not available yet in Chromium Edge. Thanks again
