open new tab in right most position

Is there a way to have the new tab after the last tab, not next to the current one?

If it is only doable thru an add-on is there one that will make the new tab a blank page and let me control its position all in one add on?

If someone has done this with an add-on what happens when you then provide a url in the address line and move to it. Currently in Edge when I add a new page it is not a blank page. Then if I provide a url in the address line it treats this as the second page in the history of the tab. Then after I have followed some links if I get click happy while hitting the back key I end up on the Edge new page. In Firefox I can open a new tab and it is blank and there is no url in the address. As a result no matter how many links I follow on that tab, hitting the back key eventually gets me back to that page.

If the history part is not possible I would still like a blank new page and have it open in the far right / last in line?

    Thank you for the response. I've just briefly looked at it and it looks like it can replace the new tab as far as a blank page but doesn't control the positioning of the page. I am hoping to find one that does both. I figure if one could control both the creation of a blank page and then place it as the last tab on the right it would likely be less buggy then two separate extensions.

    I'll take another look at it and look at the store some more to see if I can find one that controls both the page and the postion.

    Was hoping there would be a way to do it like in FF, no add-on.

    Blank New Tab Page (Offered by: Nick Vogt) : basically does what it says, a blank page.

    and

    Tab Position Customizer 2 apparently had malware in it so I would remove it if you have it.

    So far it seems to work although the blank page is still part of the tab history. Opens a blank page and opens it where I want, guess that is a pretty tough thing for MS and Google to manage.

    Tab Position Customizer 2(Offered by: Dan Hersam): It allows the user to choose the position the tab opens in, Always first, Always Last, Right of current tab, Left of current tab, Chrome default. It also allows you to control what tab to activate after closing one, first, last, left, right, chrome default. You can also control whether or not it becomes active.

    So far it seems to work although the blank page is still part of the tab history. Opens a blank page and opens it where I want, guess that is a pretty tough thing for MS and Google to manage.
