Opening new tab with specific web page in Microsoft edge - Solved
The thread I found on this question was locked so that I could not post the solution.
Edge is Chromium based so you can install chrome extensions and get the functionality you want.
There is an extention for Chrome called: Change New Tab
You can find it at the following URL
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/change-new-tab/mocklpfdimiadpbgamlgehpgpodggahe?hl=en
Once installed, the extension will give you a pop up to enter the URL you want to open.
Enter your_prefered_url.tld and then click the close button. Open a new tab to insure the setting was set.
This should solve your problem.
I am using edge version 77.0.235.20 (Official build) beta (64-bit)
And since the OS selection forces me to lie, perhaps I will suit Microsoft for violating my Constitutional right to freely exercise my religion.
Contrary to the forced selection of Windows 10, I am running Windows 7 Pro x64.
