Slack Issue on mac

In Mac device while using Edge when I try to login into slack it opens the browser app instead of opening the desktop app, In other browsers it opens the desktop app, pls check this issue. thanks.

MacOS version: 11. 5 .1 Big Sur

Edge version: Version 97.0.1072.69 (Official build) (x86_64)

    Is there some reason you're opening Slack from Edge instead of from Slack Desktop App itself?

    Make sure you used this download for Mac and then open it directly to sign in: https://slack.com/downloads/mac

    If I'm misunderstanding or there's some other reason you need to open Slack desktop app from Edge, please let me know.
