Microsoft Edge Text not showing and/or showing as blue squares

Hello there, I am dealing with this issue that occured to my Edge Browser. Yesterday after a near crashing of one of my supporting hard drives and after a full day of CheckDisk (through PowerShell), I logged in to Edge to find it like the photo below.

a) I think the day before, I did a Windows update that was available.

b) I did a deep offline scan with Windows Defender to see if there is a virus that causes the problem.

c) I downloaded Chrome which works just fine, so a virus maybe not the issue.

Sorry if my post lacks information, It's the very first time I post an issue like this.

Is there an explanation for this?

Thanks in advance!

    Hello IliasKoukoumatsas, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that you are having display issues on Edge;

    What exactly is the model and manufacturer of your graphics card?

    Before answering the question I suggest you try the following;

    Reset Edge settings;

    Open Edge and go to Settings;

    Click on Reset settings in the menu on the left of the screen;

    Click on Restore settings to their default values;

    Confirm the operation;

    Then repair Edge;

    Press Windows key + i and go to Applications;

    Select Microsoft Edge from the list and click Modify;

    Click Repair;

    After the end of the process, open Edge and check if the display issue is fixed;

    See you soon!

    Hello and thank you for welcome and quick response!

    Unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue. I took a screenshot to show in what condition is pretty much every site I go to, like YouTube below.

    My GPU is Nvidia GTX 1050ti and its up to date.

    Dear IliasKoukoumatsas,thanks for the screenshot sent;

    Do you have an Intel or AMD integrated graphics card?

    If yes, please inform which;;

    Do a clean install of the NVIDIA drivers (I know they are up to date, however a clean install might help you):

    Download and Run Driver Package for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI > https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.a...

    Follow the onscreen instructions until you get the Installation Options window;

    Select the Custom (Advanced) box and press Next;

    On the next screen, you will be able to choose the components to install (all should be checked by default and if you're not sure, leave them that way);

    In the Select driver component table, check the Perform a clean installation box and click Next;

    run a disk cleanup;

    Press WIndows key + R and type: cleanmgr press Enter;

    Click Clean System Files and wait for the files to load;

    Select all items and click Ok to delete them;

    Change appearance of Edge;

    Open Edge and go to Settings;

    Click Appearance;

    Under General Appearance, select System Default;

    Under Theme, select Standard;

    Close Edge and reopen it;

    Check if the problem still persists;

    See you soon!
