Edge taking 3 to 4 seconds to close after clicking X button

What title says, no problem opening the browser that is instantaneous. I use it as the default PDF viewer but this problem has turn it very annoying to keep using it.

Things i tried: deleting all browser history, delete all extensions, repair install (can't be unninstalled). Deleting and recreating my profile worked temporaly, the delay was gone but eventualy it came back.

    I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to assist, Since you have done a repair and still have an issue, in this case, kindly follow the steps below:

    Method 1. Repair built-in apps such as Microsoft Edge:

    Press the Windows key + X then select Windows Powershell (Admin) or Windows Terminal (Admin)

    Copy, paste, and enter the command below:

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Then hit Enter, once the process is done, restart the PC and check.

    If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.
