Hi, SohanRay
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Thank you for your feedback. And for the valuable suggestion to enable the “Always use HTTPS connections” option in the Microsoft Edge browser. We understand the importance of securing your connection while browsing.
Currently, Microsoft Edge does not have a dedicated “Always use HTTPS” setting option built in. However, we do have some alternatives for you to consider that will help you achieve similar results:
Method 1:
Microsoft Edge has a feature that attempts to always use a secure connection (HTTPS) when possible. You can enable it by following these steps:
Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner and select Settings.
In the left menu, select “Privacy, Search, and Services”.
Scroll down to the “Security” section and find and enable “Always try to connect to sites that use HTTPS”.
Method 2:
To further enhance the use of HTTPS connections, you can install a browser extension like “HTTPS Everywhere”. This extension will try to change all website connections to HTTPS by default, unless the user explicitly requests HTTP.
- Visit the Chrome Web Store.
- Search for and install the “HTTPS Everywhere” extension.

Method 3:
For some websites, you can manually enter https:// instead of http://, which can also increase the security of your browsing.
We appreciate your feedback and would like to hear more about your suggestions for improving Microsoft Edge. You can submit your feedback in the following ways:
Through the Microsoft Edge Feedback Tool: Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, select “Help and Feedback,” and then select “Send Feedback. Describe your suggestions and needs in detail.
Windows Feedback Center: Press Windows + F to open the Feedback Center app, select “Suggestions,” and then describe your needs and expectations in detail.
This will communicate your suggestions to the appropriate product team to evaluate the possibility of introducing more advanced HTTPS security options in future releases.
I look forward to your feedback.
Best Regards,
