Dear Tony Almeda,
Good day! Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
In my case, the Copilot icon does exist on the left side of the Edge search box, and I can quickly access it by clicking it. This seems to be consistent with your requirements.
I am using version 137.0.3296.82. It is worth mentioning that before I updated, the Copilot icon was displayed in the bottom middle position. You can click the menu in the lower right corner, then click Settings, scroll down to find "About", and check the version and update.
You can try to update your Edge browser. If you still can't see the corresponding button, here is an alternative:
On the browser home page, below the search box, you should see the "Add" button, click it, enter the Copilot URL (copilot.microsoft.com) in the upper input box. Then you should see the "Add a custom website" button below, click it. Then click "Add to Home". Now return to the home page, you should see a button below the search box to quickly access the Copilot webpage.
I hope this information helps. If you have any updates, feel free to let me know—I’ll be here to help.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
