How to stop the search bar on the top from disappearing? ( Microsoft Edge) - Browser

I have tried going to settings and trying to keep the search bar up but it keeps disappearing and i hate this.
it happens to my sidebar too. I use a Mac and I think that is the problem as I know there is a button to keep the sidebar up but it's disabled. Please, help me!

    Welcome to the MicroSoft Community.

       I was wondering if your sidebar button is disabled? Are you a personal account or a business account? If you are a business account, the function may have been disabled due to organizational policies. The phenomenon you described seems a little strange. I know that the sidebar can indeed be displayed or hidden through the switch setting, but I haven't found any switch that can turn off the search bar. Could you please provide the corresponding screen shots or videos? In addition, please provide the following version of your MacOS and the version of your current Edge so that I can better understand your question.

    Hello Martin,
    Thank you for trying to help me as you asked me, my microsoft account is personal not business
    I just started using microsoft edge so the problem was my search bar with the tabs, after stopping to hover over it with my cursor, it disappears

    Hi, RRK_ME

      Based on your description, I understand it to mean that your Edge only shows the search bar and tabs when the cursor is at the top of the hover, which I think should be related to your Mac settings, and I suggest you try the following:
    • Choose Apple menu > System Preferences;
    • Then click 'Dock & Menu Bar'.
    • Menu Bar > Find 'Automatically hide and show the menu bar' > Select 'Never'

      The above actions and locations mentioned are based on my testing on a Mac and this change worked for the phenomenon you mentioned, but the location of this setting may vary depending on your version of macOS. My macOS version is Ventura 13.6, so you can check in your settings to see if there is a corresponding setting.
