Win7 went out of support Jan 2020 and no updates of any type since that date
I can't get Gmail to work with my Windows Live Mail
I've googled for some instructions. My new Iphone SE seems to be working with the mail icon that came with the phone. I'm trying to get it to work with my PC using windows 7. I put all the info in and I get a message saying the server has issued an unrecognized greeting. When I'm putting in my new gmail address for my incoming Mail server, and then it wants my password, is it wanting my new password for that Gmail account or the password for my Live Mail server that I use for my other accounts?

Why is my Gmail not working in Windows Live Mail?
You need to go into your Google account and it is under Security. Turn on
"2 Step Authentication" for each Gmail account and then add an
App Password for WLM. You just need to generate the App Password from
Google Security and then use that when you update your
email ie send/ receive in your WLM.Mar 19, 2022
