Windows snipping tool is not supporting Bangla Text while pasting on Windows 11

A few days ago, Windows Snipping Tool was working fine. However, I'm unsure if the issue is related to the Windows update or not. My Windows snipping tool doesn't support Bangla text anymore. Previously, I could copy Bangla text from pictures, websites, or other sources and paste it in Bangla font. But now, if I copy Bangla text and paste it into MS Word or another text editor, Bangla automatically changes into Hindi or Nepali Bhasa.

Please help me to fix this problem. I can't figure out where the problem is with Windows Ocr or something else.

    Hi Habibur Rahman,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum

Based on the information you shared, it sounds like the Bangla text recognition feature in the Snipping Tool isn’t functioning as expected after a recent change.

This kind of issue can happen due to several possible reasons, such as Windows updates, OCR engine configuration, or language pack settings. To help identify the root cause, I’d like to ask a few questions that will guide us in narrowing it down:

    1. Is English text still recognized and pasted correctly using the Snipping Tool?
    2. Have there been any recent Windows updates or changes to language settings (such as installing/uninstalling Bangla or other languages)?
    3. Could you please check if Bangla is fully installed in your system's language settings?  You can verify this by going to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region, selecting Bangla, and ensuring that "Text-to-speech, OCR" features are downloaded and active.
    4. When trying other OCR tools like OneNote, Google Lens, or PowerToys Text Extractor, do they still recognize Bangla text correctly?

Once we have this information, I’ll be better able to assist you in resolving the issue.

Please let me know what you find or if you need help walking through any of the above steps.

    Hi Ian-Ng,

I could not fix the probelm.

    User's image

Bangla(Bangladesh) language pack is already installed. But speech recognition and text-to-speech recognition are not included. Besides, in the optional features Bangla or OCR is not installed. Moreover, there is no option to download these features manually.

Could you please guide me on how to install these features? I will be waiting for your answer.
