I checked it on Windows, and this is working fine. I think that must be a temporary bug - there have been a few issues with Workspace lately, which Microsoft is working on, as I've seen from other users.
You may want to cross-check with Edge Dev version which can be installed from https://aka.ms/EdgeInsider page. However, since Workspace is a server-controlled feature, I am not sure if it would be available or not.
Please take a moment in Edge and send feedback using the ALT+SHIFT+I buttons to let Microsoft know, since this is a user to user forum.
