As a Teacher that is now teaching virtually, we are faced with many different problems..one being class schedule changes.

So if a student started in one class period and due to schedule changes are moved to a different class period weeks later, How can I move the work the student completed in that TEAMS Class Notebook to the NEW TEAMS Class Notebook?

When I removed the student from the class and added them to the NEW class, the student started with a WHOLE NEW Class Notebook. The previous notebook was deleted when I deleted/ removed the student from the class and none of the students prior work transferred with the name

HELP PLEASE.

    Hi F. MOSS,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

Generally, if a student is moved from class A to class B (difference class teams), the student' notes in class A notebook will not automatically transfer to class B notebook. To migrate the student's work, teachers can open the two class notebooks (class A and class B) using OneNote desktop app, and then move/copy the notes manually to the corresponding section group.

    Reference:

    -      What's the difference between the OneNote versions?

    -      Get OneNote for Windows 10 - Microsoft Store

    -      Install or reinstall OneNote for Windows - Office Support (formerly called OneNote 2016)

In your case, since you have removed the student from the original class team, the student's notes will be removed automatically, I'm afraid I have to tell you that, once the notes were deleted, they cannot be recovered.

For this kind of situation in the future, please move/copy the student's work manually and make sure the work is syncing properly before removing the student from the original class.

Sorry for what happened, and I hope the above suggestions can help you a little and guide you how to deal with such things in the future to avoid avoid the same problem from happening again. If you have any concerns, please feel free to let me know, I'll continue to help you.

    Best Regards,

    Arck
