can't create an email for my teams group

When I click "get email address" it says "we're still setting up your teams" every single time. I need this for a school assignment so is there anyway around this?

    Could you please check if the issue occurs in the web app? Using Chrome or Edge browser, please sign in to https://teams.microsoft.com/ and see if there's any difference.

    Hi thank you for your answer. I just tried the web app and unfortunately, it didn't work either. I also can't access the admin centre since it's for my school

    Sorry to hear it also didn't work in the web app. For some users, it took days before a channel's email address finally became available after they've created the team.

    I'm afraid, however, that the only alternative way is to access the Teams admin center with the help of the IT admin.

    And I also suggest reporting this issue through the Help icon on the Teams app. You can either click 'give feedback' or 'report an issue' if it's enabled on your account.
