Org-wide team option is missing in our teams section

We do not have an option to have an Organization wide teams option when creating a teams page. Only provides option for public or private. Our global administrator is not sure how to add this feature.

    My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.

    I am sorry to hear that you are unable to create an organization-wide team in Teams. According to the Microsoft documentation: (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/create-an-org-wide-team), only global administrators can create organization-wide teams. Additionally, there are some requirements that need to be met before you can create an organization-wide team:

    • Your organization must have no more than 10,000 users.
    • You can have no more than five organization-wide teams per tenant.

    If your global administrator is unable to create an organization-wide team, you can try contacting Microsoft support for further assistance.

    You could raise a support request from your Microsoft 365 Admin center:

    Sign in to Microsoft 365 admin center with your Microsoft 365 admin account, and select Support > Help and support, enter your question and select Contact support.

    I am a global admin with all of the requirements listed. I previously had this option to have 5 organization-wide teams. This feature is completely gone without any warning. How can Microsoft do this?!

    For anyone tracking this -- you can only create org-wide Teams using the Teams client (desktop, mobile, or web). You still have to log in as Global Admin to create an org-wide Team.
