Getting error when try to add it to the teams.

Keep getting error of " There was a problem adding this link as a tab. Check your network connection or try again later" when try to paste the Sharepoint link to be added to the Teams.

    I am sorry, I don't see the one matches my error. Can you be more specific? I am the owner for my sharepoint site. but I guess I need to be a SharePoint administrator?

    Please coordinate with your IT admin if they can give you an access or to assign you as an SharePoint administrator for you to do the steps provided.

    The sharepoint site I created was not a team site. that's why when I try to link the subsite to the team I got the error. Is there any way to link a non team SharePoint site to MS team?
