Based on your description, I understand you still hear the notifications while your status is Do not disturb status in Teams.
Upon tests on my end, I'm not capable to reproduce the same issue. So would you please kindly share with us more information about this scenario to narrow down the scope of question?
- Would you please kindly go to Teams on the web and check if the same issue occurs? Please also tell us if the web url is teams.microsoft.com or teams.live.com after signing in.
- Would you please also tell us if there are multiple accounts added to your Teams client? If yes, please kindly check if other accounts' status is also set to Do not disturb.
- May I please know is you have attempted to reset the app or delete the cache files and check the results? Kindly refer to Clear Teams cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn
