Hi Aloyis,

I'm Ahmed and I am here & happy to help.

Your status in Microsoft Teams will automatically change from “Available” to “Away” if your computer enters sleep or idle mode, or if you lock your PC. Additionally, if you’re using the application in the background, your status may also change to "Away".

You can also manually change your status by going to your profile at the top of Teams and selecting one from the list or by typing a command such as “/away” into the command box.

What if your system is idle ....after how much time of idleness the status on teams changes to away ?
