Teams default new channel/teams as public instead of private

I am sorry you are experiencing this problem. It is possible to create new channels in the Teams Admin Center as a public channel. When you add a new team, you have the option to set the team as either private or public. Here's a quick guide on how to do it:

1. Go to the Teams Admin Center.
2. Navigate to Teams > Manage teams.
3. Click Add to create a new team.
4. In the Add a new team pane, you can give the team a name and description.
5. Set the privacy to public to make it a public team.

This will allow you to create a team that is accessible to everyone in your organization, and not just by invitation, as is the case with private teams. Remember, you can also manage the privacy settings of existing teams by selecting the team and then choosing Edit.

We have the MS Teams/Clio integration. So whenever a matter is created in Clio, it will automatically create a MS team channel. That has worked really well. Our issue is that it auto creates the team channel in private mode. So for every matter we open for a client we need to go in manually and change the team to public so all the attorney on our team can get access quickly. For now, we have to go in and request access to each one.

I would like to know if there is a way to make the default setting to open a team channel in public mode. So when a new team is manually created we have to change it to private if necessary. Essentially the opposite settings that are the default now.
