How do I change what section in a Teams Notebook is the default for showing up first when I open the Notebook?

Whenever I click on the Notebook tab in one of my Teams, it always opens to the same section and page, even if I was last in a different section and page. The section it opens to it a section that isn't very useful, so I'd like to default it to opening to a more important section. How can I do that?

Greetings! I am Ajibola, and I am eager to assist you with confidence and assertiveness. I guarantee to provide you with exceptional support.

There is no way to change the default section and page that the Notebook tab opens in Teams. The Notebook tab always opens to the first section and page of the team notebook, regardless of where you left off

You can rename or reorder the sections and pages of the team notebook to make the first section and page the most important or useful one for you.

You can create a shortcut or a link to the section and page that you want to open by default and pin it to the tabs bar or the posts tab of the channel. To do this, you can open the team notebook in OneNote for the web or OneNote for the desktop, and copy the URL of the section and page that you want. Then, you can go back to Teams, and use the Website or Link app to create a tab or a post with the URL.

You can use the OneNote app in Teams instead of the Notebook tab to access the team notebook. The OneNote app allows you to see all the sections and pages of the team notebook in a sidebar, and it remembers the last section and page that you visited. To use the OneNote app, you can go to the Apps icon on the left sidebar of Teams, and search for OneNote. Then, you can select the OneNote app and sign in with your Microsoft account. You should see the team notebook under the Shared with Me section.

Note: You might need to translate the page content in the link shared below.

Boo that stinks. I use the note book to keep meeting minutes and each page is a new meeting, but when it open , it always opens to an old page. This seems pretty simple to fix.

I have a similar issue but only for one of the Teams (app and web based) it defaults view back to particular section and page instead of the last viewed.
All my other teams on the same account open onenote to last viewed.
Why is this one in particular causing problems

On onenote online shows the last one viewed only within Teams it doesn't, there are roughly 6 members and it happens for all of them with this one Teams Note

Is there a way to have the Navigation option having Sections and Pages showing on default?

Also have this issue. The notebook by default has pages in chronological order going down the page. The weakness here is that it seems like you'd have to manually reverse that to keep the latest page current.

And....just tested it. Even if you reverse the order, it still only defaults to that one page.
