Why are my Teams Default Icons not Consistent?

Hi all,

I have an odd question today.

I have just created 7 new Teams via the Teams Admin Panel, all are identical except for the members and the Team name. 6 of the 7 Teams have the default icon set as a circle with the first character of the team name and the last character of the name which is a number. So "Nursing Region 1" has N1 in a circle.

However, one of the Teams has a Square with the first character from each of the first two words instead. "Nursing Region 6" has NR in a square.

Does anyone know why and how to standardise?

    I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself no one here is a Microsoft employee.

    This could be as a result of a cache problem in Teams. To clear the cache and receive updated information, sign out of Teams, and then sign back in. Or, manually clear Teams cache.

    Hi Anna,

    Thanks for coming back to me.

    The icons I am referring to are as seen in the Teams Admin Panel online not in a local client so I am not sure if clearing the Cache is going to help.

    Interestingly, all the icons are now Squares with NR in them and the circle icons have all gone. Most odd, I am sure you would agree, but at least they are consistent now.
