User still gets notified about changes in tasks without being a member of the 'team'

Good afternoon all,

We have a user in our firm that is not a part of a specific team anymore, thus we removed the user from our 'team'.

In said team we're using the 'Tasks' function, the user still received email notifications about updates done to the Tasks, even when we manually removed him from all assigned tasks and fully removed him from our 'team'.

Anyone who knows what might be going on?

Hi K.Lannoo, I'm Jayzar and I am happy to offer help.

Sorry to know that the user still receiving notifications about task that has been done even though he's no longer a member of the team. Let me help you out!

Can you ask you're colleague to perform steps below:

    1. Open Teams app in the desktop
    2. Select the Profile picture on top right side and select "Settings"
    3. Under Settings, select the "Notifications" tab
    4. Below the "Meetings", he can select "Mute until I join or send a message"
    5. He can then hide the tab afterwards.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

    Warm regards,

    Jayzar

    Hi Jayzar,

Thanks for the provided solution, but the user itself won't perform this issue, as the user itself would like to keep updated, however, the managing board does not want the user to be involved anymore.

    Kind regards,

    Kjell
