Hi Riccardo ROSSELLI (ACER),
Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.
Based on your description, it seems you have some queries about Microsoft Planner. I’d love to give the corresponding reply according to your queries.
- “I was wondering if any changes made to the plan through the Planner app of MS teams are then reflected in the .mpp file saved on Sharepoint.”
After my research and as far as I know, I’m afraid and sorry to say the changes made to the plan will not be reflected in the .mpp file as they don’t have synchronization between them. Here is a similar thread as reference for you: Planner and Project Integration - Microsoft Community. You can review Dale Howard’s reply to get more info:
- “I was also wondering if you colleagues who were assigned a tasks can individually tick off that task as complete, so that I can see which colleague has completed the task and who did not.”
As far as I know, I’m afraid and sorry to say this is a limitation in Microsoft Planner that it is not available to track user’s progress individually in Planner if the same task is assigned to multiple users. For your reference: Assign people to tasks - Microsoft Support. In that case, the situation you’ve encountered is normal and it is due to the design.
Due to this situation, Personally, I’m totally understanding and agree about the inconvenience of the scenario you mention above, it is definitely a great addition of improving these limitations as other users also had similar feedback before and thank you for bringing these to our attention. Due to this situation, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community to vote this similar feedback: Linking Planner and Project For The Web · Community, Allow Multiple Assignees to Mark Complete Individually · Community or you can post your own feedback in: Planner · Community (microsoft.com). Our product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback, The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. And a lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.
At the same time, I will keep this thread open, so that other members and experts in our community could share their ideas in this thread.
Appreciate for your patience and understanding.
Hope you having a nice day.
Sincerely,
Harry | Microsoft Community Moderator
