MS Teams Assignments cannot access specific students' section

Hi guys, I am a teacher. I created three teams for my 3 classes and the respective class notebooks with a few sections. Later on, I added few more sections to all the 3 notebooks. Now, I can see all those sections when I open notebook in MS Teams. For 2 teams, when I try to distribute assignments to those sections created in students' notebook, I cannot access those sections. This happens only when I try to distribute assignments. Otherwise, I can see all the sections in all the class notebooks in MS Teams. The strange thing is that I can distribute assignments to one of 3 teams as I can see all sections while distributing assignments through MS Teams but not for other two teams. Also, when I distribute the assignment for team where everything is fine and add other two teams, I am able to distribute it to the desired sections which are otherwise not visible. It is weird. Kindly help!

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble distributing assignments to specific sections in your class notebooks on Microsoft Teams. This could be due to a few reasons:

    • Teams settings: There might be a setting in Teams that's preventing you from distributing assignments to the new sections. You could check the "New students" setting in Assignments Settings and the "Assign to" setting of a specific assignment.
    • Notebook synchronization: The new sections might not have synchronized properly with Teams. You could try manually syncing your notebooks.
