Using collaborative annotations in Teams the participants writing on screen does not line up with what I see

So, I have created slides in PowerPoint and I share screen in Teams while they are in full screen mode, there are selected places for the other participants to write their notes using collaborative annotations and yet their notes appear on my screen approximately an inch or so lower than the places I have allocated for them. This has been consistent across multiple meetings now even though they are writing them on their screen in the allocated boxes.

    Hello Chantelle S,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Eunice and I'm happy to help.

I am sorry you are experiencing this problem. The issue you're encountering with collaborative annotations in Microsoft Teams, where participants' notes do not align with the designated areas on your screen, can be quite frustrating. This misalignment could be due to a variety of factors, including differences in screen resolution, aspect ratio, or even a bug within the Teams application.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the alignment issue:

    1. Check Screen Resolution and Scaling: Ensure that all participants have their screen resolution and scaling settings adjusted properly. Discrepancies in these settings can cause alignment issues during screen sharing.
    2. Use Microsoft Whiteboard: Instead of using the direct annotation feature, you might want to try using Microsoft Whiteboard. It's integrated with Teams and allows for collaborative drawing and note-taking that might not have the same alignment issues.

    1. Update Teams: Make sure everyone is using the latest version of Microsoft Teams, as updates can include fixes for such issues.
    2. Feedback to Microsoft: If the issue persists, consider providing feedback to Microsoft through the Teams UserVoice forum by going to https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback or the feedback feature within the Teams application itself.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Regards, Eunice
