How do I update my phone number on Microsoft

Yes I need to know how to update my phone number so I can access my At Ford app, and I can’t get anywhere bcuz it has my old number and i don’t have access to it anymore.

To update your phone number (alias) on Microsoft you will need to first gain access to the account. Below are the steps to do so:

• Access your account here: https://account.live.com/
• Click on "Your Info"
• Scroll down and select "Sign-in preferences" (You may need to re-verify your identify at this point)
• Manage your alias(es) as desired

If you are unable to access the account, you may proceed to filling out the account recovery form. Kindly note that account recovery is an automated process. Microsoft has set the account recovery process entirely online to ensure the customer's privacy and security.

So, with this design, this cannot be overridden by Support whether phone or through chat. Support cannot bypass your account neither can they reset the password nor recover the account for you

It will always boil down to the customer's ability to have access to the necessary information that our security process requires.
