Why my hours of work suddenly disappeared?

I have a teams assignment that is shared with other lecturers of my class in college, we all in the same teams channel and they all have access to my assignment.

Today when one of my lecturers had checklist my work to ensure I am on track with my large combined portfolio it showed as empty, it was an old version with no uploaded photos, no screenshots of my consultation sheets and no signs of my evidence. It was over 50 slides the version with the evidence, but I haven't saved it locally as I was writing it all on the assignments and nobody touched it for weeks and it was fine with other evidence and assignments but suddenly as my lecturer opened it, it was blank and on my phone I had the updated version, so she suggested I undo the hand in and hand in the assignment again, however that ended up causing a huge problem of every version of my combined portfolio being the same as it was before AKA every version of my portfolio was blank.

In summary: tried to upload new version of powerpoint on assignments, suddenly doesn't exist anymore, don't have new version anywhere in my documents when it literally was updated on my phone then when handed it in, it disappeared meaning my hours of work no longer exist and I'm behind in my portfolio work. No own personal OneDrive, no college OneDrive, no files folder on Teams, no downloads on PC or any device, basically it vanished after weeks of updating.
