I have an iphone 8 and am using the latest versions of MS Teams. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Teams and have followed all online guides to enable notifications but I don't get anything. I don't even get badges on the Teams app icon to let me know there has been any activity. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hello Theo_sheb,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you fix Teams notifications on your iPhone:

    1. Check Notification Settings for Teams:

    a. Go to your iPhone's "Settings." b. Scroll down and tap on "Teams." c. Make sure that "Allow Notifications" is enabled. d. Also, ensure that other notification settings, such as sounds and badges, are configured to your preferences.

    1. Check Teams Notification Settings:

    a. Open the Microsoft Teams app on your iPhone. b. Tap your profile picture or initials in the top left corner to access the "Settings." Select "Notifications." c. Make sure that notifications are enabled for the types of activities you want to be notified about (e.g., mentions, messages, etc.).

    1. Check Do Not Disturb Mode:

    a. Ensure that your iPhone is not in "Do Not Disturb" mode. You can check this by swiping down from the top right corner of your screen to access the Control Center. If the crescent moon icon is lit, tap it to disable Do Not Disturb.

    1. Check Mute Settings:

    a. Within a Teams chat or channel, make sure you haven't muted the conversation accidentally. Check for a mute icon next to the conversation name and unmute if necessary.

    1. Restart Your iPhone:

    a. Sometimes, simply restarting your iPhone can resolve notification issues. Press and hold the power button until the slider appears, then slide it to power off. After the phone turns off, press the power button again to turn it back on.

    1. Check Background App Refresh:

    a. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Background App Refresh." b. Ensure that "Background App Refresh" is turned on for Microsoft Teams.

    1. Update Microsoft Teams:

    a. Make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft Teams installed from the App Store.

    1. Check iOS Updates:

    a. Ensure your iPhone has the latest iOS version installed. Sometimes, updating your operating system can resolve compatibility issues. You can check for updates in "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update."

    1. Sign Out and Sign Back In:

    a. Open the Teams app, tap your profile picture, and select "Sign out." After signing out, sign back in to see if notifications work.

    Best Regards, Shalom
