Hi, I've signed into Microsoft Teams on my student email as per the work and organisation Teams. I'm trying to create a Team with my fellow students. Currently, we have a chat. But when I go to try and make a team (for more advanced application use), there is no option down the bottom where I can click to create a Team from scratch. There is only an option to Join a team with a code, but there is no code. Please help

    Hi Alexandra,

I'm Ahmed and I am here & happy to help.

It is possible that your organization has restricted the ability to create a new Team from scratch in Microsoft Teams for educational purposes. In this case, you may need to contact your organization's IT support team to confirm if this feature is available or if there are any restrictions in place.

If the "Create from scratch" option is not available, you can try creating an Office 365 group first, and then converting it to a Team. To do this, click on "From an existing Office 365 group", and select the group you want to convert to a Team.

If you are still unable to create a new Team, please reach out to your organization's IT support team for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with more information about the available options and any specific restrictions that may be in place.

    Best regards,
