3+ teams web tabs open, microsoft gives Are you still there message on one of them, after clicking 'Im back', another tab displays this same message.

I have 3 tabs open.

  • Teams, assignment page
  • Teams, presentation page
  • Teams, word doc page

Let's say I get the 'Are you still there' message on the tab with the assignment page, I click on 'I'm back'. The message almost instantly pops up on the tab with the presentation page. I click on 'I'm back', message pops up on the tab with the word doc. You get it. Doesn't matter if I'm active on the tabs. Looks like microsoft doesnt want me to have 3 active teams sessions.

I use Teams for Education (web), on a chromebook.

    Hi, Jonas,

    Sorry to hear about this issue. I'm afraid this is the normal behavior when there are several instances of Teams open. It may be designed to cut down the sync time according to the blog linked below.

    Have you tried using the desktop and web apps (Edge and Chrome) though, instead of opening Teams only in one browser to see if there's any difference?
