Remove MS Teams Account on Iphone

So I have been struggling for months now on how to remove several accounts from the MS Teams app on my Iphone. I used to belong to four different teams but have dropped out of two of them. I tried to remove the accounts on my Iphone. I could add an account but I could not delete an account through the Iphone app.

So I finally removed the accounts by accessing Teams through the browser on my PC. They were gone from my PC app and when I accessed Teams in a browser on the PC. However, they still appeared on my Teams Iphone app for months after I deleted the account from the PC apps and browsers.

I finally had an epiphany this morning and logged off of Teams in the Iphone app and logged back in. Low and behold, the two accounts I was trying to get rid of were gone! The only thing that confused me was that the accounts did not disappear through many restarts of the phone. The fact that the accounts did not disappear from the account list through a phone restart must mean that the login for Teams lasts through a restart which means my O365 login must last through a restart, right? Yet I opened Excel and Word and other O365 apps on the phone several times and was asked for my login information to access those MS O365 apps and files.

Now my login to the phone is quite safe but I still get suspicious of apps that log you out of one component (Word, Excel) but not another (Teams, Outlook).

So, what does that say about data security for information on Teams? I seem to have solved one minor problem and unearthed another concern.

    Dear Todd O'Connell,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand that you had a query regarding the Removal of MS Teams Account on Iphone,

Thank you for your time and efforts in resolving the minor scenario, meanwhile I understand you have another concern on this

Now my login to the phone is quite safe but I still get suspicious of apps that log you out of one component (Word, Excel) but not another (Teams, Outlook). So, what does that say about data security for information on Teams?

Kindly note that there is no connection between the sign in session of Microsoft Teams and the other apps such Outlook and Excel... Meaning if there is cached credentials in Microsoft teams and you sign out of Outlook Teams will still remain signed in.

Regarding the Office apps (Excel, Word) the sessions are also separate from Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation

    Sincerely,
