Hi Can I set up individual learner files that only they have access to so I can have an area to keep individual learners work together along with work they have been given to complete along with feedback?  I know I can give assignments to individual students but is there anywhere/place these can all be kept together and accessed by the teacher and learner?  Thanks June

    Hi June,

Thank you for your post in our forum.

Per your question, we would suggest that you can use SharePoint site to achieve your purpose. Because actually the location of the file of the Teams app is SharePoint, and the Teams app is mainly used for communication, meeting and so on while SharePoint is mainly used as storage space for files data.

So based on this situation, if you want students to save their own files that only they have permission to access, we sincerely suggest that you can create folders within the library of the SharePoint site. Here are the steps to create folders and grant permissions.

Click Student A > ellipses > Manage access > click drop arrow next test 0119-tm Visitors > Stop sharing > Remove > click “+” next to Direct access > Enter a name or email to grant access to the folder Student A to student A. > Grant access. And then student A can access the folder through the library URL.

If you want to add students as a site member that they can do more actions. You can grant the site permission to students.

Click the Settings > Site permissions > Advanced permissions settings > Grant Permissions > Invite people > Enter the email > Share.

The site owner who creates the site can grant permission and manage access to the folder.

Student A isn’t the site member, but he can see the folder Student A within the library. That because the site owner manages to access the folder Student B within the library to him.

Student B is granted access to the folder Student B within the library by the site owner. And he also is one of the site members, so, he can see the left navigation while Student A can’t see.

If you have any confusion, please feel free to post back with your problem or error message, we will continue to help you. 😊 Hope this can help you.

    Best regards,

    Cindy
