OneNote Online Pages not showing

I distribute a page via OneNote 2016 and class notebook add-in (has some tables a few pictures).

When students go to the section I've sent it to, the page name briefly (a fraction of a second) shows in the section then disappears.

(Most student simply tell me the page I've sent is not there)

I can confirm OneNote 2016 says it has synchronised fully. I can even go into the "lower levels" of the class notebook in SharePoint and see the section (file in SharePoint) has had its datetime stamp updated from the sync. 

Strangley, if I delete a differnt page from the student's section, the "missing" page then turns up a few seconds later.

Q: How to fix this so I can reliable distribute pages from 2016 and know students can access them in OneNote online?

    I apologize for all the trouble it has caused and sorry about your time.

    As per your description, Firstly, we would like to convey that, once the Pages or Sections distribution is done it takes some time to sync into Students section. The time of syncing varies based on the network, size of the page.

    I suggest you sync the notebook manually in OneNote 2016(right click name of the notebook>sync this notebook now), wait for a while and check if you can see it.

    I suggest you sign in Office 365 in the browser with your work or school account, then click SharePoint in App Launcher to go to SharePoint site, and then find your class notebook and open it in the browser. Then try distributing page or sections with the steps in the following article:

    Distribute Class Notebook pages and sections>Online & Windows 10

    Also, try to Distribute page/section in OneNote for win 10 and OneNote for the Web and see the outcomes.

    If the issue persists after you manually sync the notebook, and you don’t see the distribute section for a long time. Could you please share me with information below for further troubleshooting?

    1.What is your OneNote 2016? You can check Version of OneNote 2016 by click File>Account

    2.Is the distribute page a custom section or Collaboration Space & Content library?

    3.Please share sync error if there are any with us. you can check sync status in File>Info>View Sync Status

    After exhausting help with onenote dept (via support and trying all the various options to reset/use online/etc) they think it is a tenant issue. Currently following up with my tenant (and have confirmed it happening to others at our school region as well). 

    Would be good to know what to tell them to help them find the issue though ...

    Still waiting for my IT dept to get back to me.

    My current work around is:

    1.  Use OneNote 2016 (and Class notebook add in) to distribute pages to students. Wait for it to finish Sync.

    2.  Go to OneNote Online and I can confirm its not showing the uploaded page (It shows for a fraction of a second - then it disappears.)

    3.  Use OneNote Online to distribute a new "Untitled page" (blank page) to the same student section. OneNote Online will a few seconds later refresh to now show ALL pages.

    1. Manually delete all these "Untitled pages"
