Word Web addin opens outside Word

Hi,

We have three on premise application servers (Development, Test & Production) with Internet Information Services installed and we have three Web Word Add-ins, those are hosted on these servers. We have only one Web project for all three addins. We change only web.config and publish it on these application servers. We have Windows 10 client machines with Office 365 Desktop version installed where we use these addins.

The problem is when we add Word addins in a document from Development & Test environments, the addins are loaded fine inside Word but when we add addin from Production, it opens addin page outside Word in the default browser. Microsoft has following browser requirement for addins and we have exactly the same. We cannot figure it out how it is behaving like this with production addin. It should behave same and open all addins inside Word just like development and test.

Does anyone know why Word addin doesn't open inside Word for production environment?
