Page links don’t open in iPad

I cannot open a link to a page in the same workspace, while using the Microsoft Loop app in iPad (9th Gen). The same link works fine when I try Loop in iPhone, Android and PC (web browser).

Is this a known issue? Any advice?

    Hello, SmrtHm

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It seems that you are experiencing an issue where page links within the Microsoft Loop app on your iPad (9th Gen) aren't opening, while they function correctly on other devices. For this we tried to test some links such as the following:

Get started with Microsoft Loop - Microsoft Support

And testing with Microsoft Loop in iPad OS 18.2, it seems that the link opens all right, so if it's convenient for you, you can try to share that you inserted this link. Since this problem isn't widely documented, if convenient, could you please provide some details with me

    • What type of account do you use in Microsoft Loop that is a personal/business account? If you are accessing the Loop through the web browser on your iPad, some browser settings or extensions may interfere with link functionality. Try using a different browser or resetting the current browser settings to default. (e.g. Safari)
    • What version of iPadOS is installed on your iPad (9th Gen)? You can check this under Settings > General > About. We have observed that some of the links may be subject to security review when opened on an iPad, if so, please share a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

    • Type of Link: Is the link pointing to a Loop page or another type of content? For example, is it a link to a document, external webpage, or a specific item within Loop?

    Initial Suggestion:

    1. Check for app updates: Make sure your Microsoft Loop app has been updated to the latest version from the App Store.
    2. Test in another workspace: Try opening the link in another workspace to see if the issue is isolated.
    3. Reinstall the app: Uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Loop app to ensure a fresh installation.

Once I have more details from you, I can provide tailored advice or confirm whether this is a known issue with Microsoft Loop on iPads.

Let me know if you need further clarification or assistance!

    Hello Hannah,

    Thank you for your response.

Please find below the details you requested and my responses to your initial suggestions:

    • I use a personal account
    • I cannot use Microsoft Loop in a browser. Once I login it redirects me to the download Loop page. I already have the Loop app, where the issue with the link occurred. I try to go back to my home page, but it signs me out. So Loop is not usable via a browser in iPad and I think this is a known issue. Anyway I prefer to use the Loop app, so I am not looking for a solution for the browser issue
    • My iPad is on iOS 17.7.2
    • The issue occurs with links pointing to another Loop page. External link (like the Microsoft Support page that you suggested) works fine
    • I have reinstalled the Loop app and is up to date
    • The issue occurs in every workspace

    Looking forward for your feedback.

    Best regards,

    SmrtHm

I'm having the same issue on 18.3.1, with a new install of Loop on a 2024 iPad Pro 11".
