I am limited to nine workspaces in Microsoft Loop, and it should be 250

Hi,

i can no longer add new workspaces to Microsoft Loop. I get an error saying that the new workspace cannot be saved.

This link

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-loop-storage-limits-c2f1a5e9-be65-4289-b322-bae070bfb751

indicates that I should be able to create 250 workspaces.

I have ample storage in my Onedrive.

While I will not need 250 workspaces, nine is ridiculously low to make the app viable for me.

Also I have read something about Public Preview where there may have been restrictions?

These were supposed to have been lifted so this might be unrelated....

Subscription is Microsoft 365 Family

Use is academic related

    Dear AlecCoakley,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that there will be a limit to the number of workspaces you can save when using Loop to save new workspaces, I understand your frustration and will try to help you troubleshoot.

The article instructions you looked for are correct. Individual accounts can create up to 250 workspaces in Loop, and there does seem to be something strange about your situation. For the other limitations you are concerned about, as described in the article, it is already factored into the storage quota for individual plans in July 2024.

In order to get a better idea of the status of the problem, I'd like to confirm some information with you first.

    • Are you checking the web version of OneDrive to see that your current storage quota is sufficient? You can check it by logging into your OneDrive account by clicking the following link
(Click Settings -> Options -> Manage Storage on the left hand side in the top right corner): OneDrive

Please make sure that your account's storage quota is sufficient: Microsoft storage - Microsoft Support

You can also try uploading a file to OneDrive, or save a right-click to try and see if it uploads successfully. Make sure the storage space is sufficient.

If you need to troubleshoot further after checking the storage space and you are using Loop on the web side:

    • Have you tried logging back into Loop with a different browser to troubleshoot? To check if it's a limitation of your current browser, you can also try to check in privacy mode (for Edge browser, click the three dots in the upper right corner -> select privacy mode) or clear your browser cache. View and delete browser history in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support

Disclaimer: Browsers automatically save temporary Internet files to help speed up page loading. Clearing this cache can sometimes resolve page display issues. Please back up important data, such as favourites, to avoid data loss.

    • Is the account you are currently logged into to access the Loop the same as the account you subscribed to?
    • Have you troubleshooted by re-adding the workspace after copying to the document based on the error message? Does it still show this error?

We look forward to your further updates and hope to learn more from you to confirm the direction of the problem for further investigation.

Thank you for your understanding and patience, I wish you all the best.

    Best regards

    Hi Isabella,

thank you for you reply and suggestions.

This is my OneDrive memory status as indicated.

Yes files upload to Onedrive as normal.

I tried to create new workspace in Microsoft Edge and no luck

Deleteing the browser cache did not help

when I deletedthe cache i got this error message

Does the fact I am in Ireland have any bearing on the problem? Roll-out issues?

    Thank you

    Dear AlecCoakley,

I feel very sorry for getting back to you so late.

Based on the information you shared everything else seems to be normal. This seems to require further investigation with regards to your current information in Ireland and we will take your question further back to the relevant developer to investigate if it has not been officially launched in Ireland yet.

Again, I apologise for my getting back to you so late.

    Best regards
