Hi there,
I'm Cherrelyn, and I’m here to help
Yes, this high memory and CPU usage in Microsoft Edge after waking your Mac from sleep has been reported by some users.
Please try these suggestion:
- Try launching Edge in InPrivate mode or with extensions disabled (edge://extensions) and observe behavior after sleep
- Turn auto-update back on if it was disabled
- Check Edge’s System settings > Performance, and toggle off “Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed”
- Also try resetting Edge or creating a fresh profile to see if the issue persists
I hope this will help and if you have any question please don't hesitate to reply to this thread.
Warm regards,
Cherrelyn
