Premium plan tasks in planner (AKA Project for the Web Tasks) still do not show up under "My Day" or "My Tasks" despite Microsoft claiming Premium Plans were integrated. This issue has not been resolved. My organization is using GCC.

    Hi @Lowe, Darren (Fed),

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with Planner in the GCC environment.

We would like to confirm that currently, tasks from Premium Plans (also known as Project for the Web Tasks) still do not appear in the “My Tasks” or “My Day” views in Planner for Teams, despite Microsoft’s announcement that Premium Plans would be integrated into the unified task list.

This is not a configuration error or isolated bug, but rather a known product limitation in the GCC environment. Microsoft has rolled out this feature for commercial tenants, but for GCC tenants, the integration of Premium Plan tasks into “My Tasks” is following a separate rollout timeline and has not yet been completed.

As of June 2025, Microsoft representatives have confirmed that this functionality is not yet available in GCC. The Planner team’s official blog also states:

“Tasks assigned to you in premium plans will not show up in the My Tasks view” for GCC customers.

    Workarounds and Interim Solutions:

While waiting for Microsoft to complete the rollout, we recommend the following approaches:

    1. Use Basic Plans for projects where task visibility in “My Tasks” or To Do is critical. → Tasks from Basic Plans will appear as expected in the unified view.
    2. Manually track Premium Plan tasks by opening the plan directly in the Planner app or Project interface. → Users can filter and view tasks assigned to them within each plan.
    3. Enable notifications for Planner/Project to receive alerts when tasks are assigned. → These can serve as reminders to manually add tasks to daily to-do lists.
    4. Monitor Microsoft’s roadmap and blog updates:

We will continue to monitor Microsoft’s updates and notify you as soon as this functionality becomes available in GCC.
