I usually download attendance reports for meetings after conclusion of the meeting however there are some meetings that do not show in the chat icon.

    Hello @MELWYN NASH

Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing a clear description of the issue.

This issue can occur for a few different reasons, as the location and availability of the report can vary based on your role and the type of meeting.

Let's go through the most common causes to help you find your reports:

    1. Check Your Role in the Meeting

First, could you please confirm if you were the organizer or a co-organizer for the meetings where the report is missing? Only these roles have permission to view and download attendance reports. Attendees are not able to see them.

    2. Check the Calendar Invitation (Primary Location)

The most reliable place to find the report is in the meeting details on your Teams Calendar.

    • Go to your Teams Calendar.
    • Find and double-click the past meeting to open its details.
    • Look for a tab at the top named "Attendance". The report, including join/leave times, will be available here. This is the primary location for reports in the current version of Teams.

    3. Identify the Meeting Type

Was the meeting held within a specific Teams channel?

    • If it was a Channel Meeting: The attendance report will not appear in your personal chat list. Instead, please go to the channel where the meeting was held. You should find the report as a card in the "Replies" to the original meeting post.
    • If it was a standard, non-channel meeting: The report should be in both the "Attendance" tab (as described in point 2) and the meeting chat.

    4. Administrator Policy

It is also possible that your organization's IT administrator has specific policies that control when and for which types of meetings attendance reports are generated. If you are the organizer and have checked the locations above without success, this may be the case.

Please let me know what you find after reviewing these steps. This information will help us narrow down the cause and find a solution.
